The
Tennessee Medical Association Tennessee
Prescription Safety Program is a two-year pilot program designed
to reduce the misuse and abuse of Schedule II prescriptions in
Tennessee through education and new technology.
The course entitled, "Proper
Prescribing Practices: Schedule II Prescription Drug Abuse," is
designed to educate physicians, dentists, pharmacists, nurse practitioners
and physician assistants on the abuse and misuse of schedule II
narcotics. This two-hour course is
available for continuing education credit and will satisfy the
State of Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners' prescribing practices
continuing medical education requirement. Tuition is $20 per person.
