Quality
Improvement
For more than three decades QSource has been committed to assisting
with the quality of care and utilization of services provided to
healthcare consumers. QSource is the leading supplier of quality
improvement services to healthcare providers and the communities
they serve. Our primary focus is on Medicare and Medicaid populations
and the underserved populations of America.
Since
1973, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services
(CMS) has contracted with QSource to serve as a Medicare Quality
Improvement Organization (QIO). As a QIO, our quality improvement
teams work hand-in-hand with healthcare providers to assist in
improving the quality of care provided to 900,000+
Medicare beneficiaries.
Nursing
Homes
We
offer training events, tools, and resources to help nursing homes
improve selected quality measures and assist facilities transitioning
from an institutional to a person-centered model of care.
Home
Health Agencies
We
offer training events, tools, and resources to help agencies
improve selected quality measures and assist with national initiatives
on topics such as improving acute care hospitalization and implementing
telehealth.
Hospitals
We
offer quality improvement support for hospital data reporting
and for the treatment of acute myocardial infarction, heart failure,
and pneumonia, as well as surgical care improvement and assist
hospitals in improving their patient safety culture.
Physician
Offices
Through
our Doctor's Office Quality-Information Technology (DOQ-IT) Program,
we offer primary care practices expert assistance to select,
implement, and fully utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems
to enhance patient safety, office
efficiency, and quality of care. We also help physicians incorporate
best practices for adult immunization, breast cancer screening,
cultural competency, and diabetes care.
Underserved
Population
QSource
is the country's only Underserved Quality Improvement Organization
Support Center (UQIOSC). We assist CMS in its efforts to improve
performance measure results among underserved populations in
three clinical areas — breast cancer, adult immunizations
and diabetes — and educate healthcare professionals about
providing culturally diverse care.
