Improvement
QSource is a leading supplier of quality improvement services to healthcare providers and the communities they serve. For more than three decades, QSource has been committed to assisting with the quality of care and utilization of services provided to healthcare consumers. Our primary focus has been on Medicare and Medicaid populations.
Since 1973, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has contracted with QSource to serve as a Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO). Our quality improvement teams work hand-in-hand with healthcare providers to assist in improving the quality of care provided to 900,000+ Medicare beneficiaries.
Under our current 9th Scope of Work contract with CMS, QSource is responsible for the following efforts: Beneficiary Protection, Patient Safety, Prevention and Chronic Kidney Disease.
Nursing
Homes
We offer training events, tools, and resources to help nursing homes improve selected quality measures while assisting with the reduction of pressure ulcers and physical restraints, nosocomial methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MSRA) infections and working with poorly performing nursing homes.

Health Agencies
Building on our years of experience from our QIO contract, QSource offers training events, tools, and resources to help agencies improve their quality of care and assist with national quality initiatives.
Hospitals
We offer quality improvement support for hospital data reporting, improving inpatient surgical safety, heart failure and drug safety and assisting with the reduction of pressure ulcers and nosocomial methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MSRA).
Physician
Offices
QSource works with physician offices to assist in quality care data submission to CMS, promotes the use of care management with an electronic health record (EHR), assesses care processes and assists in improving statewide rates for chronic kidney disease.
