Alternative Dispute Resolution
Mediation is a new option to resolve a quality of care complaint
under Medicare. It is a face-to-face conversation between the
patient and the doctor or hospital, facilitated by an impartial
third person acting as the mediator. It is an opportunity for
both parties to relate, respond and resolve concerns. Mediation
is offered with no cost.
