As colder weather continues, it is still important to keep our bodies moving. Physical activity does not have to be intense to be effective. Even small, gentle movements can make a meaningful difference. Regular movement supports circulation and can contribute to better digestion and improved sleep. Use the resource below to set realistic daily and weekly goals that encourage consistent activity and help you stay engaged in caring for your body.
Living with kidney disease takes strength and flexibility. This month’s KPAC newsletter highlights how resilience helps patients navigate treatments, responsibilities, and life changes while staying connected and hopeful. Nephrology social worker Sarah Stevenson shares simple reminders to honor your emotions, lean on your support system, and recognize the small wins that matter each day.
Your ESRD Network wants to recognize at least one facility staff member each month who is going above and beyond for their patients. This month, we have several facilities that are deserving of shoutouts!
The following facilities earned the Flu Fighter and Respiratory Shield awards by achieving at least 80% pneumococcal pneumonia and influenza vaccination rates. Congratulations to Dialysis Center of Lincoln, Lincoln Northwest, Lincoln Southwest, and Lincoln Home on this outstanding accomplishment.
We also recognize the facilities that achieved a 100% pneumococcal pneumonia and influenza vaccination rate and earned both the Flu Fighter and Respiratory Shield awards. Congratulations to Carle Health Home Dialysis Clinic, Horizon Health Dialysis Center, DaVita Skyline Home Dialysis, and Home Hemodialysis Network for this exceptional achievement. Your commitment to protecting patient health sets a high standard for quality care.
Do you have a facility staff member you’d like to nominate for the facility shoutout? Email us the details of who, what, and where at Qsource-Peers@qsource.org.
