How do you celebrate yourself and your kidney health? The ESRD Network has created a fun kidney-themed BINGO card that you can pass out to the people in your life to help them boost their kidney strength and be mindful of just how important our kidneys are.
The Kidney Patient Advisory Council has created several flyers to help raise awareness! Download this flyer to learn more about treatment adherence and find out how to visit their website for more resources.
Check out our NEW Qsource ESRD Peer Connect app! This app is free to download and will be updated monthly with news about our latest blogs, resources, and how we serve our kidney patients, care partners, and facility staff.
If you have trouble downloading the app or have any questions or comments, please email us.
Facility Shoutout!
Your ESRD Network wants to recognize at least one facility staff member each month who is going above and beyond for their patients. This month we have two shoutouts: Kim Takoo, Administrative Assistant for Dialysis Center of Lincoln OST clinic, and Lyz Longnecker, who is the Director of Nursing for all Dialysis Centers of Lincoln.
Kim is an invaluable asset to her team and consistently goes above and beyond her role in the facility. She coordinates all monthly patient engagement activities across all four facilities and ensures that they are fresh and creative. She demonstrates exceptional dedication to patient-centered care by tying the activities to things such as patient engagement and treatment compliance. In addition, Kim independently creates and coordinates monthly games for staff members, which brings positivity, connection, and morale to the workplace. Kim’s creativity, consistency, and compassion make a meaningful difference for both patients and staff, and her contributions significantly enhance the culture at work.
Lyz earned her Certified Administrator of Renal Healthcare (CARH) credential, an outstanding professional achievement and a true reflection of her dedication to excellence in renal care leadership. Lyz continues to lead by example each day. Her integrity, professionalism, and commitment to quality patient care inspire her teams. She consistently supports staff, navigates challenges, and keeps patient-centered care at the forefront of every decision. This accomplishment highlights her perseverance, expertise, and commitment to advancing both her organization and the patients she serves.
Congratulations, Kim and Lyz, you both are assets to your teams!!
